Sweets for my Sweet, Sugar for my Salary.
Could Tourism Australia be facing competition for the coveted title of ‘Best Job in the World’? The brilliant campaign that ran in 2009 (and is still being talked about now), is perhaps the inspiration for a new campaign by Swizzels…
The confectionery firm behind sweet delights such as Love Hearts, Drumsticks and Refreshers are on the hunt for a new Chief Sweet Taster.
Yes. This is happening. And not only will the lucky applicant be in charge of sampling existing products, taste testing new ones and learning tricks (or should we say treats?) of the trade alongside new product development manager Emma Herring, they will also be paid in sweets.
Just to confirm: their annual salary will be paid in sweets.
Sweets.
How this form of payment helps with things like bills we don’t quite know, but, seriously who cares? Sweets!
If your inner child hasn’t already caused you to pass out with excitement, there are strict requirements that prospective applicants need to demonstrate.
In order to qualify for the position, Swizzels insists that applicants are a minimum of 16 years old, but more importantly have a ‘previous and detailed experience of eating sweets’ (where do we sign up!?).
The position also offers opportunities to visit the Derby factory and taste highly confidential sweet prototypes throughout the year!
If you think you’ve got what it takes, then visit the Swizzels’ website by April 30th.
Hopefully dental insurance is included…
