A Chat Show Like No Other! Chelsea Shakes Up Late Night TV.

The US’s most acid tongued, hedonistic chat show host unleashes her quick witted wisdom on UK audiences, as Chelsea Lately switches to 10:30pm on E! Entertainment (Sky 151/Virgin Media 156), from Monday 20th July.

Famed for her outspoken opinions each weeknight chat Queen Chelsea Handler welcomes an assortment of high profile stars and rising talents onto her panel for gossip, debate, and, on occasion, confrontation.

Boasting an inimitable blend of humour and drama, Chelsea Handler is the only female late night US chat show host, and second in history only to fellow comedic legend Joan Rivers.

The half hour show opens with Chelsea’s trademark, headline grabbing monologues, followed by a “Round Table” format in which Chelsea and three guests from the world of comedy, entertainment and journalism wax lyrical on the pop culture issues of the day.

With her take-no-prisoners style, Chelsea is no stranger to controversy, and has a less than likeable stance on certain celebrities – Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus and Lindsey Lohan have all incurred her wrath. Chelsea’s candid questioning and irreverent take on showbiz has attracted guests including Sharon Osbourne, Katy Perry, The Jonas Brothers, and even British comedy counterpart John Cleese and Russell Brand.

Edgy comedienne Chelsea will be hitting the streets to uncover stories of real people in surreal and ridiculous situations, exploring Hollywood’s coolest quirks and trendiest crazes, presenting her very own tongue-in-cheek take on everything from plastic surgery addicts to paparazzi intrusion.

Definitely not for the shy and retiring…a TV chat show experience like no other!

Chelsea Handler won a Bravo A List Award for “A-List Funny” in April 2009, and has performed in stand up across the US. As well as her successful TV ventures, she has also authored two books that have fast propelled themselves onto the New York Times Bestseller List. Her memoirs, My Horizontal Life: A Collection Of One Night Stands, were followed by an unconventional collection of essays, Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea. She has also co-hosted The View, US television’s answer to Loose Women.
