BURGER KING COUPLE TIE THE KNOT.

You may remember our post from a few months ago, telling the tale of Joel Burger and Ashley King, the couple who became international sensations overnight after announcing their engagement, rather appropriately to their namesake, outside a Burger King.

Fast forward 3 months and the couple have just tied the knot, in a delectably romantic ceremony in Illinois – courtesy of Burger King.

The famous fast-food chain supplied the groomsmen with Burger King T-Shirts to wear underneath their shirts, as well as Burger King cuff links and burger socks.

And the bridesmaids’ tiaras?

One guess…

The burger themed fun didn’t stop there – after the ceremony, guests were treated to a $10 Burger King gift card each, mason jars emblazoned with the BK logo and Burger King paper crowns. Alas, Burger King did not supply the catering; the couple choosing a slightly more upmarket option for the big day.

It’s thought to be the first fast-food chain sponsored wedding in history, and Joel has described the whole process as “awesome”.

While Ashley has chosen to take Joel’s surname, technically making them a double Burger, Joel says that they will forever be Burger King at heart.
