Work

Taylor Herring is one of the UK’s leading PR agencies for alcohol brands in the UK, with over 15 years’ experience delivering press office and impactful brand campaigns for beer and spirit brands.

Integrated campaigns and influencer partnerships that have recruited new drinkers, launched new products and driven brand fame.

Altos Tequila x Hot Lime

Altos asked us to establish them as the UK’s go-to premium tequila brand for margaritas.
Our campaign was born out of the insight that margarita-loving hosts often underestimate how many limes they need for at-home mixology. This was a first world problem that we needed to solve! And so our Emergency Hotlime’ was launched.
The ‘Hot Lime Delivery service’ launched with a stylish Public Service Announcement video fronted by cocktail lover Alice Levine and was amplified with food and drink influencers who trailed the service. Over the course of the summer, lime-less hosts in three cities across the UK had last-minute limes delivered to save their cocktails.
Next, we created a tourable bar that delivered margaritas to the masses. Our Margs on the Move campaign featured Altos margaritas and selection of a tequila ice-lollies inspired by the Mexican tradition of Chapulines – bug eating!
Our summer of margarita mayhem delivered over 250 pieces of coverage,  engaged dozens of influencers, hosted tasting events in 4 cities and served over 8,000 margaritas.

Monkey 47 x Distiller’s Cut

Monkey 47 gin asked us to create a quirky, intimate and classy launch event that would celebrate their latest limited-edition and premium gin: the maple syrup and bacon inspired Distiller’s Cut.
We know our audience love quirky cocktails and artisanal food, so we teamed up with one of London’s leading butchers Turner & George to create a super exclusive butcher’s bundle.
To launch the gin and the bundle, we created a one-of-a-kind bacon, gin and maple cocktail that we launched at an exclusive event at Turner & George’s butcher shop. Food, lifestyle press, and influencers were invited to join us for a butchery and cocktail masterclass, sample our unique signature serve and learn more about the brand.
With maple syrup as the 48th botanical we partnered with the award-winning mixologist Rich Woods to create the “Breakfast in the Black Forest” f.t Distiller’s Cut, blackberry and peppercorn vermouth infusion & Schwarzwälder speck bacon.

All wrapped up in a tasty launch event for influencers, journalists & bartenders.

FUNKIN

FUNKIN Cocktails wanted a fun campaign that would grab the attention of Gen Z and launch their Blue Raspberry Martini pre-mixed cocktail .
Our audience love to know what goes into their food and drink, but with so many fruits and flavours out there, it’s hard to know what’s real and not. We decided to have some fun with an audience that isn’t always as clued up about nature as it should be.
Our product launch went live with documentary-style footage of the ‘FUNKIN Fruit Farm’ – a behind-the-scenes look at how we harvest blue raspberries from bush to beverage.
Starring an actor and influencer famous for his TikTok content, our video was shared across social and pitched to media on April Fools, securing widespread national coverage as one of the year’s best brand pranks.

Full-service Press Office for Pimm’s

We worked with Pimm’s for a number of years delivering a series of creative campaigns and press office activations that kept Pimm’s in the news during the summer drinking season.
Pimm’s challenge to us was to keep them front of mind at a time when all drink brands are vying for the summer serve occasion; there were no new innovations in the liquid and product page coverage was at a premium.
Our calendar of activity saw us launch new products with fellow heritage brands, host sampling events at the UK’s hottest events and partner with chefs, mixologists, fashionistas and lifestyle influencers to create new content and help tell the Pimm’s story across social channels.
Match point at Wimbledon, but your glass is empty? Fear not!
We created the perfect way for fans to serve up a fresh glass of the quintessential summertime drink without missing a second of The Tournament.
The ‘Pimmbledon Machine’ can serve up a delicious jug of Pimm’s in just 56 seconds
We activated the brand’s sponsorship of Wimbledon each year, with influencer and media hosting, on-trade activations with Selfridges and talent partnerships with the Made in Chelsea cast.
We even hired Judy Murray as our Chief Foliage Officer!

Buffalo Trace – Chainsaw Art

When award-winning American bourbon Buffalo Trace asked us to promote its brand to a UK audience, we knew it had to be bold and bring to life the whiskey’s Kentucky heritage!
We flew leading US chainsaw artist Griffon Ramsey (“a rock star with a chainsaw” Vice Magazine) – to London for a 4-day exhibition to create a 6ft buffalo sculpture, in front of live crowds in Shoreditch.
Fans were invited to watch Griffon carve her masterpiece, before the final sculpture was unveiled to the public alongside a Buffalo Trace tasting bar.
A 2-metre red wood chainsaw sculpture took over 30 hours to create using gas and electric-powered chainsaws in front of live crowds.
Hundreds of Londoners got a chance to sample Buffalo Trace and take part in a live brand experience they’ll never forget. And we secured buckets of coverage for the client

BrewDog – On-trade and Product Launches

BrewDog wanted to launch a beer with purpose. In response, we partnered with men’s mental health charity #IAmWhole to launch SAD AF. An alcohol-free beer that launched at that time of the year where Seasonal Affective Disorder is weighing down the nation.
We partnered with dozens of male celebrities to front the campaign, with the likes of Mo Farrah, Danny Dyer, Dom Jolly and #IAMWhole’s founder Jordan Stephens urging men to open-up and talk during the most depressing month of the year.
We helped BrewDog launch the UK’s Biggest Bar – their new on-trade site at London Waterloo.
They needed an agency who were well connected, efficient, and knew how to generate excitement and headlines for the opening week.
We worked on some fun collabs – including Candy Kittens.
…and promoted a beer advent calendar.
We hosted 70 consumer and trade media for tasting events and walk-arounds giving press the chance to experience the bar’s best attractions: a slide between floors, a micro-brewery, co-working zones, a speakeasy cocktail hideaway, an on-site micro-brewery, podcast studios, an ice-cram van and even a fun slide between the floors!
If you’re in need of a PR agency in the UK who will launch and promote a beer, a cider or a creative press office that generates coverage for a spirit brand, we’d love to hear from you.
